I was never big fan of pajamas, and a side of inherited my brothers sleepwear I never owned a pair. I certainly never went and bought any. And in my life, till recently, it was absolutely unnecessary to invest in any kind of fashion besides the one that you leave your house in. How silly of me!
I now realize that the most important investment in fact should be the clothes that you wear when you are alone with yourself- since you are the only person you should thrive to impress. And that’s how I came to making my very first pair of pajamas.
The pattern that I used was by Vikisews (of course), model Bella. Stunning pattern with elasticated pants, cuffs, patch pockets, turn down collar and lapel. I chose size 40 instead of my usual 38 just because I wanted to give myself more space and it fits perfectly!
The fabric is from Joanns, this beautiful lyocell. I didn’t want to get anything polyesterish because… well I’m trying to stay away from it.
Conclusion: OMGGGGG I love them! I never (NEVER) felt more elegant than now! It gives me an ultimate grown-up-got-my-s**t-together kind of feel. And isn’t this the best feeling to wake up to? Also, this is one of my self-care essentials- you can check that post here.
